PLUSMODO kitchen showcased at Epcot

Poggenpohl brings its award-winning PLUSMODO kitchen to the House of Innoventions at Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida

This is part of the resort's famous Innoventions Pavilion, a 30,000 square-meter interactive playground of hands-on exhibits, where visitors from around the world discover how science and technology can simplify and enhance their lives, both today and in the future.

Poggenpohl was selected to represent the kitchen of the 21st century together with Siemens appliances. PLUSMODO is a revolutionary kitchen architecture based on the dual concept of displaying and concealing, designed by renowned Spanish furniture and lighting designer Jorge Pensi. Design elements include open and closed areas, with glass pull-out trays and sliding doors, illuminated satin glass shelving and a unique mix of materials (marsh oak wood, satin laquer finishes and aluminium). The six-inch quartz worktop is suspended above four glas pull-out trays.

"The Poggenpohl kitchen is more contemporary than anything we've ever had before in the House of Innoventions. It's really exciting to show guests a new way to think about kitchen design," says Claire Wiley, senior interior designer, Walt Disney Imagineering.
