Nobia establishes sourcing center in Shanghai
Nobia opened up a new purchasing office in Shanghai in May in order to work more consistently with procurement of Asian components throughout the Nobia Group. We have historically worked with both direct sourcing and with agents.
The course of action is already staked out; to start building up the supplier network – as well as cleaning up the supplier data that has accumulated over the years. The Shanghai office will manage the request for quotation process with support from Nobia sourcing in Europe, but will be responsible for supplier evaluation. It will work with Europe to make the final selection and manage the contractual end of things including the quality process.
